In the middle of the night, you awaken to check the time. You observe that your watch is still where you last placed it before you fell asleep, therefore it had been there the whole night since you live along thus assuming that no one else would be in your household. Nonetheless, little did you know that thief came in the middle of the night, stole your watched, and placed it right back where it was. However, it is clear the person in this cenario had no knowledge regarding a thief breaking into his house; In other words, they were certain their watch had been besides them the whole night.

The person's justification was...

Reasoning: Since the man lives alone, there would be no other person to steal his watch from its rightful place. They also used their reason based off of memory since the watch couldn't be anywhere else if he had left it right next to his bed.

Memory: The person recalled leaving the watch next to his bed

Sense of Perception: Through the sense of sight, the person in this case saw with his own eyes where the watch laid.

Jones and Smith were both waiting to see who was accepted into the job. While waiting, Jones would play with the coins detected in his pocket and count them: 10 coins were in his pocket. Afterwards, the boss came into the room and said that Jones had gotten the job. Smith, disappointed, concluded that the man with 10 coins in his pocket would get the job. Suddenly, the boss found Smith and told him he had gotten the job. Coincidentally, Smith also had 10 coins in his pocket.

Reasoning: If Jones, who had 10 coins in his pocket, got the job then one must obtain 10 coins in his pocket to get the job.

Memory: He had remembered that Jones pulled out 10 coins from his pocket while waiting.
