Theory of Knowledge

Students' thoughts on the Theory of Knowledge Course

"So basically, after all these years, I realise IB is trying to achieve something through a course as unique, challenging and rigorous as TOK. To perhaps instill in students the desire to make knowledge a lifelong quest, but never accept it unquestioned. To recognize the challenges of the path but never be overwhelmed by its complexity. To form our own opinions but never disregard the contrary ones.  Basically TOK is attempting to do exactly what Morpheus was doing" Ankshita Prasad (3)

My Opinion on the Theory of Knowledge course

Though I have only had a quarter of the course, I've developed the habit of questioning everything given to us in our other classes. An example would be in my physics class when my teacher cancel out a derivative function with another derivate function and I asked him how and why he had done so if we're not permitted to do so in math. In other words, we establish stronger filters on the areas of knowledge through taking in information in a distinct perspective than we're used to.
